NVIDIA Networking 980-9I45T-00H020 is a QSFP56 VCSEL (Vertical Cavity Surface Emitting Laser) based Active Optical Cable (AOC) designed for use in InfiniBand HDR 200 Gb/s systems. The 980-9I45T-00H020 AOC offers high port density and configurability, and much greater reach than passive copper cables in data centers. Since the AOC is hot-pluggable, it is easy to install and replace.

980-9I45T-00H020 has a standard SFF-8665 compatible QSFP56 port on the electrical side towards the host system. It contains four multimode fiber (MMF) optical transceivers per end; each operating at data rates of up to 50 Gb/s. 980-9I45T-00H020 offers lane-selectable retiming for its optical transmitters and receivers with speeds up to 50 Gbp/s.
