The nVidia 980-9I149-00CS00 is a pluggable 4-channel QSFP28 optical transceiver designed for use on 100GbE Ethernet links with a reach of up to 100m on multimode fiber (MMF). This transceiver incorporates integrated circuit technology, in order to provide high performance at low power.
nVidia 980-9I149-00CS00 converts 4 input channels of 25Gb/s electrical data into 4 optical signals at 850nm. Conversely, the receiver side demultiplexes 4 optical inputs into 4 electrical differential output signals. nVidia 980-9I149-00CS00 has selectable reprogramming as specified in the SFF-8636 MSA. This allows the transceiver to be used in 40GbE and 100GbE applications. Digital diagnostic monitoring functions for temperature, supply voltage, and optical power are available through the two-wire (I2C) management interface, as specified by the QSFP28 MSA. The optical interface is a multifiber push-on (MPO) connector with 4 channels/optical fibers in each direction. The MPO connector is of the type without angle (UPC).
