For connectivity to external storage and JBOD, the 9207-8e can connect to more than 1,000 SAS or SATA storage devices.
The SAS host bus adapter provides great performance for mid-range and high-end 1U and 2U servers to connect large, scaled storage environments. The SAS 9207-8e offers 8 lines of 6 Gb / s SAS together with 8 other PCIe 3.0 lines of 8 Gb / s. Performance is based on the 6Gb / s SAS 2038 IO controller that integrates all the latest advances in PCIe and SAS technology.
The SAS 9207-8e has two (x4) external mini-SAS connectors (SFF8088) that provide 1.5, 3, and 6 Gb / s SAS and SATA data transfers and is capable of more than 650,000 IOPS.
It is ideal for external JBODs and external RAID environments.
