Enhanced I/0: Support for PCIe 4.0 enables double the performance of PCIe 3.0 for fast, large data transfers. Plus, 64 lanes per socket with up to 128 lanes in a 2P configuration for fast data transmission from CPU to GPU, accelerator or storage.

Increased CPU performance: Now up to 40 cores per socket with greatly improved IPC on Intel's 10nm architecture while running CPUs at 105-270W. Plus, an additional UPI lane is added for up to 11.2 GT/s for low latency interconnect between CPUs.

Next Generation Memory – Each processor provides eight memory channels to support either 8 or 16 DIMM slots with up to DDR4-3200. Two subpooling modes, Sub NUMA (SNC) and Hemisphere (HEMI), are available through balanced memory which results in performance improvements. Additionally, support for the Intel Optane PMem 200 series provides two modes for increased memory capacity and data persistence to process large amounts of data faster.

Next-level security: The new instructions and architecture offer a high level of cryptographic operations for privacy and data protection. Cryptographic accelerators speed up encryption protocols, and enhancements are added to memory encryption and software protection extensions.

GIGABYTE servers are enabled with automatic fan speed control for the best cooling and power efficiency. Individual fan speeds will automatically adjust based on temperature sensors strategically placed on the servers.

To take advantage of the fact that a power supply will run more power-efficiently under higher load, GIGABYTE has introduced a power management feature called cold redundancy for servers with N+1 power supplies. When the total system load falls below 40%, the system will automatically place a power supply in standby mode, resulting in a 10% improvement in efficiency.
