Switch D-Link DGS-1016D, a desktop switch with 16 10/100/1000 Mbps ports that offers high performance in a device that allows us to save space and money. Another feature on this switch is that all ports automatically negotiate the MDI / MDIX (Up-Link) mode setting, avoiding the need to create crossover cables.
The D-Link DGS-1016D switch supports IEEE 802.3 10BASE-T, 802.3u 100BASE-TX, 802.3ab 1000BASE-T, and 803.3x flow control. This switch is equipped to auto negotiate speeds of 10 Mbps, 100 Mbps, and 1000 Mbps.
The DGS-1016D Switch, in Full-Duplex mode, protects users against possible data loss during transmission on the network. When they are connected to a LAN card (in a server or PC) that supports flow control, and when the data buffer is about to fill, the switch sends a signal to the PC indicating such situation. The PC then delays the transmission until the buffer has been freed and more information can be sent.
It incorporates new energy saving technologies. By detecting whether connected devices are on or off and estimating cable length, the switch is able to adjust its power consumption, resulting in savings of up to 73%
