The Gigabit DLink DGS-1005P 5-port switch allows you to connect to the data network and power Power over Ethernet (PoE) devices such as Wi-Fi access points (APs), surveillance IP cameras, and IP phones . It is a compact switch, with a metal housing and works silently. It is Plug & Play, so it does not require technical knowledge.

Automatic MDI / MDI-X support on all ports eliminates the need for crossover cables when connecting to another switch, and auto-negotiation on each port intelligently adjusts the port speed to be compatible with the connected device. With the "wire-speed filtering" and "store-and-forward switching" features DGS-1005P maximizes network performance and minimizes transmission of erroneous network packets.

DGS-1005P has four IEEE 802.3af and IEEE 802.3at PoE compliant Gigabit Ethernet ports, supplying up to 30W on each PoE port and providing 60W total power (Power Budget).

You can connect PoE compatible devices to DGS-1005P to eliminate the need to connect them to an electrical outlet, they will be powered by the data network cable from the switch.

DGS-1005P features green technology like IEEE 802.3az Energy-Efficient Ethernet (EEE), Link Status Detection, and Cable Length Detection.

The EEE adjusts the switch's power consumption based on network utilization, reducing power consumption during periods of inactivity. Link status detection shuts down unused ports, saving power when connected devices are turned off or disconnected. Cable length detection adjusts the power output of the port based on the cable length, reducing the switch's power requirements.

The DGS-1005P's compact design allows it to be placed in most places, including those where space is limited.

The desktop form factor provides everything you need to set up a new network or expand an existing network, while the fanless design ensures quiet operation even in noise-sensitive areas such as workstations and meeting rooms.
