The AMD EPYC 8124P is a server/workstation processor with 16 cores. It is part of the EPYC line, using the Zen 4c (Siena) architecture with Socket SP6. EPYC 8124P has 64 MB of L3 cache and runs at 2.45 GHz by default, but can boost up to 3 GHz, depending on the workload.

With a TDP of 125W, the EPYC 8124P consumes a lot of power, which means it needs top-notch cooling. The AMD processor supports DDR5 memory with a six-channel interface. The highest officially supported memory speed is 4800 MT/s, but with overclocking (and the right memory modules) you can go even higher.

When you need to bring efficient, cost-effective computing to non-traditional environments, including branch offices, retail establishments, outdoor environments, and telephone exchanges and cell sites, AMD EPYC™ 8004 Series processors are designed to deliver computing power where you need it. —including challenging environments with wide temperature ranges. Engineered with our high-density 'Zen 4c' processor cores, the EPYC 8004 series is an example of how our hybrid multi-chip architecture allows you to deliver solutions that overcome environmental and infrastructure constraints, while also helping to contain the cost of system and power consumption.

AMD EPYC™ 8004 series processors enable traditional data center platforms, as well as various edge servers, NEBS™-enabled equipment, and innovative form factors for manufacturing, healthcare, retail, and telecommunications. As part of the AMD EPYC processor family, these CPUs are built with our all-inclusive philosophy of offering a consistent set of features within each processor series. EPYC 8004 series processors are designed for compact single-socket servers and are configured for six channels of DDR5 memory and 96 lanes of PCIe® Gen 5 I/O performance. The series offers 8 to 64 cores and up to 128 MB L3 cache, along with AMD Secure processor to enable AMD Infinity Guard security features.

AMD EPYC 8004 processors complement the AMD EPYC 9004 series, bringing the established high-efficiency "Zen 4c" core architecture to lower core count CPUs with much lower TDP ranges and cooling requirements. The processors are designed to require low power and operate within a wide temperature range, so servers can operate at room temperature and run quietly with less need for high-speed cooling fans. This family enables servers for traditional data centers, as well as various edge server deployments, sites with challenging space and power requirements, and other innovative form factors.
