Kingston's UV500 family of solid state drives (SSDs) dramatically improves the responsiveness of your existing system with incredible boot, load and transfer times compared to mechanical hard drives. Supported by a Marvell Dean controller coupled with a 3D NAND Flash memory, they offer read and write speeds of up to 520 MB / s and 500 MB / s respectively. These SSD drives are 10 times faster than traditional hard drives and provide better performance, ultra-fast response speed in multitasking processing and overall system acceleration. The UV500s provide end-to-end data protection, and support 256-bit hardware-based AES encryption in addition to TCG Opal 2.0 security management solutions.
More reliable and durable than hard disk drives, UV500s incorporate Flash memory technology with NAND semiconductors. They have no moving parts, which makes them much less susceptible to failures than mechanical hard drives. They also generate less heat and are quieter, and their high resistance to impacts and vibrations makes them ideal for laptops and other mobile devices.
The UV500 are available in various capacities, from 120 GB up to 960 GB2, so you can use them as boot drives or take advantage of the higher capacity to store videos, photos and host the applications you use most.
