Canon Europe, the world leader in imaging solutions, today launches the LX-MU500Z, its new state-of-the-art compact laser fixed projector, ideal for academic institutions or corporate environments. With 5,000 lumens, native WUXGA resolution, DLP (Digital Light Processing) panel technology, vivid colors and a dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000: 1, the LX-MU500Z is the perfect companion for high-quality image projection allowing Bring both classroom classes and boardroom presentations to life.

The LX-MU500Z has 5,000 lumens ensuring the brightest image in a wide variety of installation environments, from well-lit classrooms to open meeting spaces. This projector has a blue laser light and a yellow phosphor wheel that allow you to reproduce colors accurately and realistically, with great brightness. The bright and dark areas of the screen are viewed with excellent precision, making the LX-MU500Z the must-have projector for those who want to grab students' attention with stunning images, engage prospects with compelling sales pitches, or surprise to the audience with an engaging presentation.

Thanks to native WUXGA (1920 x 1200) resolution, the LX-MU500Z projects sharp images with easy-to-read text and high-quality graphics and video. This native resolution is very useful for making clear and impactful presentations, as well as for digital signage and for entertainment environments. DLP panels add amazing image quality by eliminating the grid effect typical of traditional LCD projectors. The LX-MU500Z's high dynamic contrast ratio of 50,000: 1 enables pure, deep colors to be projected with true-to-life reproduction of black areas, further enhancing the viewing experience. The vivid images it projects are great for impressing new prospects or the audience with a demo in the store.

The LX-MU500Z is compact and lightweight, making it easy to transport and install, even in the most difficult spaces. Thanks to the laser light source, the LX-MU500Z does not need to be moved to replace consumables, making it ideal for offices with heavy workloads or busy educational institutions. Because it produces only 35 dB in operation, it can be installed in environments that require silence to make free projections as a distraction.

To facilitate orientation at any angle, the LX-MU500Z has a large +/- 50% lens shift, horizontal projection, and keystone correction. This means that regardless of the angle at which it is installed, even off-axis, the position of the image and its geometry can be corrected. The LX-MU500Z includes HDBaseT, a standard for transmission of HD images, audio and control signals over long distances, and a CAT5e cable can also be used to extend this distance up to 100m. Thanks to these features, the LX-MU500Z can be installed in any venue with long-range projection requirements, such as large conference rooms and auditoriums. The integrated LAN port can be used for monitoring and control. This is particularly advantageous in resource-constrained educational settings, as it allows employees to easily diagnose problems, saving money and maintenance costs.

With five image modes and two user-definable models, the LX-MU500Z ensures that all projected media is reproduced accurately and beautifully, which is vital in technical or medical presentations. The LX-MU500Z can also receive various types of 3D signals, creating an immersive experience. Thanks to this, a new dimension can be added to creative installations or presentations in conference rooms.

The LX-MU500Z uses a blue laser diode and a yellow phosphor wheel, which can last up to 20,000 hours, much longer than lamp-based light sources. With no parts to replace, the LX-MU500Z is easy to maintain and has very little running costs. The costs of the LX-MU500Z are controlled thanks to the instantaneous on / off of the light source and the reduced power consumption both in operation and in standby mode.

In case the LX-MU500Z has a problem, Canon will supply a replacement kit the next day, as stipulated in the five-year warrantyi. This reduces downtime and the total cost of ownership of the equipment.
