AMD nos ha dado a probar como de potentes son sus nuevos procesadores con Zen, Ryzen 7, 5 y 3. Y despu\u00e9s nos sorprendi\u00f3 con Threadripper que ofrec\u00eda <strong>hasta 16 n\u00facleo<\/strong>s pensados para ordenadores de tipo workstation.<\/p>\n<p>Pues bien, AMD se ha propuesto dejarnos otra vez con la boca abierta, y es que la nueva generaci\u00f3n de <strong>procesadores EPYC<\/strong>, pensadas <strong>para servidores<\/strong> podr\u00eda legar a tener <strong>hasta 64 n\u00facleos<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Y es que la web francesa <strong>Canard PC Hardware<\/strong>, que no es la primera vez que desvela con acierto una noticia similar, asegura que ha obtenido las especificaciones de la segunda generaci\u00f3n de procesadores EPYC.<\/p>\n<p>En un primer vistazo, las cosas no parec\u00edan ser nada del otro mundo, pero los rumores indican que soporta hasta <strong>128 ranuras PCIe, 8 canales de memoria DDR4 (3200 MHz)<\/strong>. Este es el tuit de Canard PC Hardware:<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"fr\" dir=\"ltr\">Ne le r\u00e9p\u00e9tez \u00e0 personne, mais les CPU EPYC de 2e gen d&#39;AMD auront 64 cores, 256 Mo (!) de L3, 8x DDR4-3200 et 128 lignes de PCIe 4. \ud83d\ude32\ud83e\udd2b<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Canard PC Hardware (@CPCHardware) <a onclick=\"javascript:pageTracker._trackPageview('\/outgoing\/twitter.com\/CPCHardware\/status\/925348852147908608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw');\"  href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/CPCHardware\/status\/925348852147908608?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 31, 2017<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Donde las cosas se ponen realmente interesantes, es que la cantidad de n\u00facleos m\u00e1ximos se ha doblado. Eso significa que los <strong>EPYC 2<\/strong> ser\u00e1n capaces de funcionar con <strong>128 hilos<\/strong>, una cantidad sorprendente.<\/p>\n<p>La parte final de este interesante anuncio, viene en lo que respecta a la cache L3, y es que supone una mejora muy significativa. Los EPYC actuales llevan 2 Mb de cache L3 por n\u00facleo, el EPYX 7551P cuenta con 64MB de cache L3. Seg\u00fan los datos revelados por Canard PC Hardware estar\u00edamos hablando de 4 veces m\u00e1s de cache, llegando hasta <strong>256Mb de cache L3.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>En otro tweet mostraron el <strong>TDP del nuevo procesador, que ser\u00e1 de 225w con un m\u00e1ximo de 240w<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"550\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"fr\" dir=\"ltr\">N&#39;allez pas non plus crier sur les toits que le TDP de base pourra monter \u00e0 225W (et jusqu&#39;\u00e0 240W max).
